Dental Crowns and Bridges in Fort Lauderdale, FL

At Smiles by Dr. Josh, we want you to love your smile when you look in the mirror. Unfortunately, even if you practice good oral hygiene and make regular visits to our dental office for exams and cleanings, the day may come when you need a dental crown or bridge. So, if you have a weakened or cracked tooth or need to replace your missing teeth, a dental crown or bridge may be your best option.

At the dental office of Dr. Josh Slatkoff in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, we can help you get your oral health back on track by presenting you with your dental options and allowing you to make the best treatment choice for your lifestyle and budget.

Dental Crowns to Protect Your Teeth

A dental crown is a common tooth restoration that places a cap over your entire tooth to protect and strengthen it. A dental crown looks and feels like your natural tooth, making it a great choice in the following situations:

  • To strengthen a tooth after root canal therapy
  • To restore missing teeth after a dental implant procedure
  • To protect teeth from grinding or clenching
  • To cosmetically correct stained or misshapen teeth

"I couldn't be happier."

The Dental Crown Procedure

If a dental crown is your best restoration option, Dr. Josh will first prepare your tooth by removing any damage before reshaping the tooth so your crown will fit.

Next, we will take digital impressions to send to our expert laboratory so they can create your crown. In the meantime, we will place a temporary crown to protect your tooth.

Once your crown is ready, Dr. Josh will bond it to your natural tooth before checking your bite to ensure your crown fits properly.

Dental Bridges To Close the Gap

A dental bridge can “bridge the gap” between two healthy teeth when you are missing one or more teeth. Your dental bridge will look and feel like your natural teeth, making it a fantastic option in the following situations:

  • To fill the gap where you are missing teeth
  • To prevent your other teeth from shiftingolder man with dental crowns in fort lauderdale
  • To allow you to speak and eat normally
  • To improve your self-confidence

The Dental Bridge Procedure

To begin your dental bridge procedure, Dr. Josh will shape the teeth on either side of where the bridge will be placed before taking digital impressions. These impressions will be sent to the lab so your dental bridge can be custom-made to fit your mouth.

Until your bridge is ready, we will place a temporary bridge in your mouth to protect your teeth. During your next visit to our dental office, we will secure your dental bridge to your prepared teeth and check to ensure that it looks and feels completely natural. Your smile will be seamless and beautiful!
